Arlington Hts. residents call for saving trees
Here is some information from our Village regarding resident involvement to help fight this dynamic and extensive natural disaster. A Peopleʼs Choice Program is being implemented where residents will have the choice to treat or not to treat their parkway Ash tree(s) at their own expense. Read their flyer here.
Here is a map showing all the locations of Ash trees in Arlington Heights. It is a pdf file and takes awhile to load. Map of all ash trees in Arlington Heights.

Below, a photo of a homeowners house who is a resident in Geneva, IL who asked Geneva three years ago, what they were going to do with his parkway ash tree. They told him - "When it dies, we'll cut it down". Upset that the city was not going to try and save his parkway ash, he then hired me to treat the ash tree in his yard, but NOT the parkway ash. Last summer, three years later, I took this picture. My van is parked in front of his house. His beautiful ash tree is on the right - more spectacular looking than it ever was and unaffected by EAB. The parkway ash on the left is 90% dead and was cut down a month after I took this picture. I NEVER drill an ash tree to treat it. As a Board Certified Master Arborist who has treated more ash trees since 2002 than ANY OTHER arborist in America, I firmly believe that no one should allow their ash tree to be drilled to treat it. I have guaranteed my treatments will work since 2004.
